Vinyl Siding Replacement

Our standard vinyl siding replacement service includes a foam-core blanket that is applied before your new siding is installed. This adds in insulating value (R-value) to your wall system, while also creating an air barrier to help your existing insulation perform at it best. This foam-core blanket stops air leaks but allows for the transmittance of water vapor to permeate through the material. This is important because trapped water vapor can condense or collect within your wall cavity and create rot and mold issues. Skyview has you and your home covered!

Vinyl siding has its limitations. It expands and contracts considerably with temperature. Installers must loosely nail the siding to the wall in the center of nail slots in order to allow the vinyl siding to move back-and-forth. Otherwise the siding will buckle or wrinkle. The siding must also abut trim boards and existing surfaces with the proper siding accessories and be sealed with a high-quality flexible caulking.
